Top Indian restaurants In Dallas-Mughlai Fine Indian Cuisine In Dallas,Between the 16th and 18th century, the Mughal Empire was the dominant power in the Indian subcontinent (modern day India, Pakistan and Bangladesh). During their occupation of India, the Mughals left a long lasting influence on Indian culture and cuisine. From erecting many splendid monuments, including the magnificent Taj Mahal, to commissioning legendary fine arts and merging Middle Eastern cuisine with Indian spices and ingredients, the Mughals became immortalized in India. In the kitchens of the royal Mughal emperors, rich, aromatic dishes were prepared and have given rise to many notable, modern Mughlai dishes, including biryanis, pulaos, kebabs, and kormas.
The Mughlai cuisine occupies a commanding position in the popular cuisines of India and, as a result, vast majorities of Indian restaurants around the world draw inspiration from it. In 1982, the Mehtani family opened its first Indian restaurant “Moghul Room,” in the heart of midtown Manhattan in a New York City hotel. Honoring the tradition of bringing fine Indian cuisine to our guests, Mughlai Restaurant owners Javeed Khan and his wife Sonia, daughter of Mr. Satish Mehtani, presented Mughlai Restaurant to our Dallas customers in July 2011. In 2017, with the help of their son Shahbaaz, the Khans opened their second location in Texas located in Southlake in order to bring the Mughlai brand to the Fort Worth side of the metroplex.
