Latino Heritage Festival in Dallas-DeSoto The City of DeSoto joins the nation in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15. During this time, the City honors the history, culture and positive contributions Hispanic and Latino Americans continue to make to influence and strengthen the fabric of our community.

To celebrate the month, the DeSoto Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce the date for its Second Annual Latino Heritage Festival on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 6:00p.m. to 10:00p.m., at the DeSoto Outdoor Amphitheater located at 211 E. Pleasant Run Road in DeSoto, TX.

The 2019 Latino Heritage Festival will kick off National Hispanic Heritage Month, which celebrates and recognizes the immeasurable contributions made by Hispanic and Latino Americans. The festival seeks to draw attention to the cultural diversity of DeSoto and surrounding communities, and will feature traditional folkloric dance and musical performances by the legendary music group, Tierra, Havana NRG, DJ Jammin Joe, arts and cultural exhibits, authentic food court, face painting, bounce houses, and plenty of family fun!

Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite Latino heritage fashions! The event is free and open to the public.
